I arrived at North East Masons for my third shoot there, this time with Karyn and her 9 year old mare, Shylo. Karyn had been gifted a photo shoot voucher for her Birthday and was very excited for her shoot! When I pulled up, Karyn was dressed head to toe in fluorescent waterproof overalls and was just finishing off drying Shylo after her bath, with the help of top groom Gemma. Luckily, Karyn was armed with a change of clothes (two actually!) and popped inside to quickly change into her first outfit.
She re-appeared dressed in cream jods, a tweed jacket with a white shirt and stock and her long black boots – very fancy! Karyn was keen to get some black background ‘artistic’ style shots of Shylo, and her gorgeous blue eye, so we began the shoot in the garage – which made the perfect dark backdrop for our studio-like black background photos! We then worked our way around the yard picking out the most scenic spots – and the scenery at Masons never disappoints!
We spent some time trying out different poses by the daffodils before Karyn and Shylo went for a wander down the track together! We had chosen a Spring date especially as Karyn loves the daffodils! She then nipped inside to get changed into her second outfit – a lovely casual white shirt, which was the perfect contrast to her initial show attire. We rounded up the shoot with some photos in the garden.
Thank you for inviting me along – I hope you enjoyed your shoot and are having fun looking through your photos!
