AMY, AUTUMN & TORI - Shoot Day

June 6, 2017

Amy contacted me to book her shoot at her home farm in Kirkley after receiving a photo shoot voucher as a gift. We had a gorgeous sunny day for it and the scenery at her home was to die for. When I arrived, I was greeted by Amy’s mum, Zilla, who introduced me to the horses that were quietly grazing before their shoot. Amy was finishing up getting ready, so I spent some time in the fields capturing photos of the horses relaxing before we got going.

We started the shoot with Amy’s newest horse, Autumn. At just six years old, Autumn is Amy’s first youngster. She has owned Autumn for just a couple of months, but plans to bring her on slowly and correctly, with the ambition to event her. Autumn was a star throughout the shoot, and was extremely patient for a youngster and happily stood by fences, in the field and down the track while we captured a variety of in hand bonding photos. Then Amy hopped on board, bareback, for some mounted photos. Amy looked very stylish in her black top, jeans and country boots. Her hair floated beautifully in the wind and her smile lit up her face in all the photos!

Back at the barn, we used the dark doorway to capture some black background photos with Autumn, before it was Tori’s turn! Tori is Amy’s seventeen year old coloured sports horse, who she has owned for three years now. They have been out and about doing quite a bit of eventing, having been to three already this year, and with Belsay and Kirkley in the pipeline! We began with the black background photos for Tori, before finding some new scenery out the front to play with. Amy had a mixture of in hand and mounted photos with Tori too – who was equally as well behaved – before we rounded up the shoot back at the stables.

Thank you for inviting me to your beautiful home and introducing me to Autumn and Tori. I am sure we will see you out and about and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and Autumn!
