After our earlier shoot with Amy and Zilla, we made our way over to Benridge to meet Jean, Rocco and Emmy. Jean had been gifted the voucher as a birthday surprise and was very excited for her shoot. The sun had well and truly come out to play, and the scenery at Benridge was gorgeous. On arrival, I was instantly greeted by the lovely Jean who looked like she had stepped out of a catalogue – she has the best sense of style and came well prepared with two outfits which she switched between half way through.
Jeans first outfit was a classy white blouse, light trousers and gorgeous tan boots – very country! Stood next to her handsome, and very shiny, bay Andalusian Rocco, they made for a wonderful photo. We began the shoot by heading up the track to a lovely field full of yellow buttercups. This was the perfect spot for some in hand bonding photos. Jean and Rocco were complete naturals in front of the camera and made my job very easy! Jean told me how she events Rocco and took the plunge, entering her first BE90 at Wawrick Hall – which sounded very brave to me!
Emmy Cole, Jean’s rescue dog, joined us too. Jean had rescued Emmy as a three year old – she had been used for breeding and had never left her cage. Four years later, you wouldn’t believe she had had such a rocky start, she was full of life and just loved the company of people! Emmy very proudly joined in the photos and looked very cute in the buttercups!
We then made our way back to the stable yard for a quick outfit change, and Jean returned in her fancy horsey attire, looking just as classy as before! We then spent some time capturing a few more in hand bonding photos round the yard and along the track, before rounding up the shoot by the hay barn, to capture some of those ever so popular black background images.
Thank you ever so much for welcoming me to your yard and introducing me to your lovely four legged family! I hope you enjoyed your shoot as much as I did and I look forward to seeing the two of you out and about on the BE circuit – next stop Badminton!
