On a gorgeous sunny Saturday, I was invited back to the 7 Mile for another photo shoot. This was my third visit back, and this time I met up with Kelsey and her mum, Nicola. They introduced me to their four legged family – their two horses, Diesel and Snooty, and their retriever Riley. After being gifted a photo shoot voucher for her birthday, Kelsey was keen to get some group shots with her two beloved horses, and Riley. Nicola was on hand to help manoeuvre the horses and set up the photos, and her help was very much appreciated!

We began the shoot with some group shots round the back of the stable block. There was a lovely gated entrance way with some greenery, which made Diesel’s chestnut coat really pop! Both horses stood impeccably well for the group photos, as did Riley. Kelsey looked very glam with her black skinnies and casual polo top. She had the most beautiful curled, golden hair that shone magnificently in the sun.

After some group photos, we spent a bit of time with both horses individually, capturing some bonding pictures with each. Diesel was first to go and really knew his job as a horse model! He stood wherever he was asked with a big grin on his face. Kelsey has owned 13 year old Diesel for 7 years now and has done a bit of everything with him. They have always been very successful in the dressage ring, but he will turn his hoof to anything and they are currently getting out and about practicing their Cross Country with the hope to do some more events!

Next up was little Snooty – who may I add was absolutely adorable! Snooty is thought to be about 30 years old, and they have owned their much loved pony for 11 years now. He has only recently retired and looked to be enjoying all the fuss of the photo shoot. The bond Kelsey and Snooty had was lovely to watch, he just wanted to cuddle in at any opportunity!

After spending the majority of the shoot out and about capturing those bonding photos round the lovely scenic spots on offer at the 7 Mile, we then made our way back to the barn to finish off with some black background head shots of the boys!

Thank you for having me to come and photograph for you and your four legged family – it was a pleasure meeting you all and I hope to see you out and about on the Cross Country courses very soon!
