I was very excited when Hannah invited me back for her third photo shoot! Our previous two had been so much fun and Hannah always comes wonderfully prepared with loads of fantastic ideas for her shoot. This time was no exception; she knew exactly what she wanted to try and had an outfit change to make sure she added some variety to the photos, to get the most out of the experience. Hannah had booked to have her hair and makeup professionally done the morning of her shoot and looked as glam as ever!
This time around, Hannah’s priority was to get some very precious photos with her stunning Andalusian x Arab, Shadow – who you may remember from their shoot at the beach last year. Hannah reluctantly but graciously made the difficult decision to retire her much loved boy due to injury, and was really keen to get some photos while he was still muscled and looking smart. Lady, Hannah’s new girl, joined us too – she took her turn at being a horse-model for the day and was a real pro! Her spaniel pup, Bailey, stepped in for some group shots on the drive – a nice four legged family portrait.
After recently moving house, Hannah moved both horses to live at home with her, and rents the neighbours stables and land. They had not been there long when I came to visit, but they were so settled and clearly loving life in Hannah’s back garden! It was the most gorgeous setting for a photo shoot – there were beautiful flowers in every direction, a stone driveway, and a crop field out the back. We were very fortunate to have so much to play with and spoilt for choice.
We captured some black background photos and some in hand bonding pictures, before rounding up the shoot with some mounted photos in the crop field behind the yard. We had so many laughs throughout the shoot and are already planning Hannah’s next shoot with Lady in the winter! It’s always a pleasure going back to photograph for Hannah and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for me next time!
Thank you so much for having me back and I hope you love these photos just as much as your last ones!
