EMILY & BOBBY - Shoot Day

August 20, 2017

Kim had a voucher for a photo shoot with her gorgeous daughter, Emily, and her pony Bobby. They invited me to their home on a Friday morning in July for Emily’s shoot. We had sunshine, heavy rain showers (you name it!) but Emily was a real trooper and remained enthusiastic with her smile reaching from ear to ear throughout!

Emily was very well prepared for her shoot – she had been checking out the client area of my website and had picked out two outfits for her shoot. Her first outfit was a gorgeous summery dress (yes, she braved a dress in the showers!), before changing into her riding gear for the second half of the shoot. This gave a nice variety to her photos and mixed things up a little!

We began the shoot with some studio –like black background photos in the stable, before capturing some very precious in hand bonding shots around the yard. They posed on the drive next to the gorgeous flower, sat by the large stones, and went for a wander along the yard track. Emily and Bobby have the most adorable bond, he just looks at her in total awe (as does she in return), it was really quite special to watch!

Bobby, also known as Dagwood Superstar, is a pro in the show ring. He has won many a red ribbon with Emily in the lead rein classes – even placing on their latest outing to the County Show. It goes without saying that Kim was unbelievably proud! Emily is now working on her first ridden skills – and was excited to show this off to me during the second half of her shoot, when she hopped on board and they strutted their stuff! After a play in the school, Emily went for her first canter in the field (unintentionally!) and finished the shoot with the biggest grin on her face!

Thank you ever so much for a lovely morning – it was an absolute pleasure photographing Emily and Bobby and I cannot wait to see what they get up to in the future as Emily’s confidence continues to grow! They are an unstoppable combination!
