Emma invited me to Holmside for a fun-filled yard shoot day. After a spot of lunch, we began our afternoon shoot with Claire and Lily. I spotted the two of them getting ready from across the yard while I was having my lunch and knew they were going to be my next victims – they both looked far too well dressed to be mucking out! Both Claire and Lily were in their smart horse attire, with their hair down and perfectly styled – they really looked the part!
I was introduced to their four legged family Roo and Leo. Roo was Claire’s horse whom she bought 9 months ago after sadly losing her first horse. It was a difficult time for her, but Roo has such a kind nature and Claire has grown very fond of him. Leo is Lily’s little pony, they have enjoyed many years together as Lily has grown up. Leo loves to jump and together they have done quite a bit of show jumping, mostly at home but hoping to get out and about more in the near future!
Claire was mostly after photos of Lily and Leo, but was keen to hop in with Roo for a handful of family group shots. We worked our way round the different scenic locations the yard had on offer, capturing a mix of individual and group shots. Lily had such a lovely bond with Leo – he just wanted to cuddle in to her all the time! Lily then jumped on board Leo to round up the shoot with some mounted shots.
Thank you ever so much for inviting me to photograph the four of you. It was a pleasure getting to know you all better and I hope you both enjoyed the shoot as much as I did.
