After receiving a photo shoot voucher from her fiancé for her Birthday, Jade booked to have an Autumnal shoot at her yard with her gorgeous coloured mare, Briget. Briget and Jade really looked the part when I arrived. Jade was dressed in a gorgeous navy top, coupled with some long country boots, and had her hair up in a French plait. After a bath with 5 different shampoos, Briget was gleaming!
Jade has ridden all her life – Babs, her Grandma, introduced her to horses when she was just 18months old and she has never looked back. She has now owned 4 year old Briget for two years, and after being backed and turned away, she is about to start bringing her back into work. In the future, Jade would like to do a bit of everything with Briget – so far she is showing a very sweet and willing attitude on the ground, so they have high hopes for her under saddle!
We began the shoot in the barn doorway, creating that studio- like black background effect, where we captured some headshots of Briget, and some group shots of Briget, Jade and her gorgeous daughter, Gracie. We then took Briget out and about round the yard, picking out some scenic spots to capture the in hand bonding photos. Jade was a natural in front of the camera and needed no direction, and Briget’s coat shone beautifully in the sun!
We made our way down the lane where we captured some more in hand photos, as well as some group shots with Gracie, before heading back to the yard and rounding up the shoot with a handful of pictures of the gorgeous Casper, Bab’s 20 year old Arab, having a play in the field!
Thank you ever so much for inviting me out and introducing me to Briget. It was a pleasure getting to know you all and I cannot wait to follow your journey together and see what you get up to in the future!
