Rachael took a bit of a gamble booking her shoot while we were mid storm, but she somehow managed to pick the most BEAUTIFUL day in spring to head to Plessey with the family (both two and four legged) for her shoot. She has been following my page on Facebook for a while, and being stabled at the same yard as me, has always been keen to book a shoot, so I knew she was going to be very happy when her parents, Rebecca and Lewis, gifted her photo shoot vouchers for Christmas!
Rachael hacked Starlight over from the yard with her boyfriend, Harry, in tow and they met me there, where I had already started snapping away with her parents and their two dogs, Jack and Allan – it was a real family occasion! So much planning and thought had gone into their shoot – all animals were groomed to perfection and all humans had matching colours in their attire to pull the photos together. Rachael had even popped to the shops for some new leads for the dogs to keep in with the theme.
Starting by the car park, we made our way round the woods, selecting a number of our favourite backdrops as we went. We were able to get very creative, climbing trees and using fallen logs, while playing a game of family-hokey-kokey and switching and swapping who was in each image to get a variety of group and individual photos (you haven’t seen anything like it!)
Not only did we capture some GORGEOUS family photos, but I think it’s safe to say we had such a laugh doing it – lots of happy memories to treasure and look back on for years to come! Thank you ever so much for inviting me to be your photographer for the day – I hope the photos reflect the fun we had!
