After a very enjoyable shoot with Val last year, I was excited to be invited back to Woodhouse Farm for a second shoot – this time with the lovely Carli and her 24 year old welsh cob x thoroughbred, Fred! On arrival, I was greeted by the very glamorous Carli, who was all set to go, wearing a pink shirt coupled with a matching lip stick. Fred was looking equally as glam with a beautiful glossy coat and the look of mischief in his eyes!
Carli told me how she’s owned Fred for 15 years and he is well and truly part of the family – it was evident how much they both adored each other’s company. Although he is now retired, they have had lots of fun hacking and playing over the years, with many fond memories, so Carli was keen to get some photos of them out and about in hand to capture they lovely bond they had grown together.
Fred looked super smart against the black background when we started the shoot in the barn to capture some studio-like photos. His charm and character shone through in every picture. Once we got out and about for some more natural photos, he showed off some fancy moves (just to prove he still had a lot of spring in his step!) and gave us all a little entertainment! Carli handled him beautifully and we were still able to capture some really gorgeous photos of the two of them before we rounded the shoot up back at the stable yard.
Thank you for introducing me to your wonderful boy – the two of you were a real pleasure to have in front of the camera. Hope you like your photos!
