You may remember Laura from her shoot with Elfi in 2016. Laura sadly had to retire her horse of a lifetime last year, but has recently been getting to know her new boy, Merlin. Merlin is a 5 year old Oldenburg x Cob that she loans from Flick – she found him through her instructor just a few months ago. In the time she has had him, they have been having flatwork and jump lessons, getting to know one another, and have recently competed in some local dressage too.
Laura decided as a treat on her Birthday, to have a photo shoot in the fields. She came prepared with two outfits – starting in white jeans with a orangy-red top, blue Fairfax boots, and matching orangy-red tassels (how’s that for attention to detail)! We began the shoot on the yard to capture some black background images, before we made up way up to the fields via the pond. After a quick change of outfit, she returned with a beautiful white summer dress for some in hand bonding photos.
Merlin was such a star throughout the shoot and made for a wonderful horse model! We captured a mix of in hand and mounted images – with Laura sitting on logs, walking down the lane, and riding across the fields. The two of them really looked the part, and Merlin had certainly earnt his carrots that day!
I hope you had fun on your birthday shoot - thank you for having me again!
