Pam has been watching my page for quite some time and debating when is the best time for her to book a shoot. Having loved the photos after she gifted a shoot to Rachael last year, she was even more keen to get booked in. Pam’s partner, Sid, surprised her with a photo shoot voucher at Christmas, so Pam decided Summer 2018 was the time!
Patch, Pam’s coloured traditional cob, had been scrubbed (twice!!) in the lead up to his shoot, and was absolutely gleaming. He looked very eager to go for the shoot, having successfully competed in a lot of dressage and even going to HOYS showing over the years, he knew that bath time means for something exciting! He made for a wonderful horse model – he was very patient and ever so photogenic. Pam and Patch have such a sweet bond between them – so made my job so easy behind the camera. Dressed in a beautiful summery, flowery top, Pam really looked the part!
We began on the yard with the barn behind, to capture some studio-like black background images, before making our way up to the fields via the pond. With a number of beautiful backdrops to pick between, we had some lovely photo opportunities. Sid even joined in for some group shots – which I think are my favourite of the lot!!
Thank you for trusting me with the responsibility of capturing your family portraits. I loved having you in front of the camera at last!
