After having to reschedule our shoot from a very breezy day when a tree fell down in Abby and Michelle’s field, we picked a beautiful day in Autumn to try again! I met up with Abby and her mum Michelle at their field in Amble where they keep their four-legged family. Michelle went first with Billy, then next up I had Abby and her two, Kitty and Titch.
Abby told me how she came across a field of young mares who had mistakenly been covered by a stallion, and at just two years old, Kitty’s mum gave birth to her. Abby kept Kitty to bring on herself, but Kitty can be a little anxious at times, so was concerned how she might cope on the shoot. She was a little fidgety to start with, but quickly got into the swing of it and became quite the horse-model by then end!
Next up was Titch – Abby’s mischievous 24 year old Welshie whom she has owned for 11 years. Titch was a real character too – he was a dream to have in front of the camera, and would stand ever so patiently wherever asked, but had a spring in his step as soon as Abby hopped on board! After making the most of the fallen logs in the field, and picking out other scenic spots, we rounded up the shoot with some mounted photos.
It was lovely to finally meet you all – I hope you enjoyed your shoot as much as I did!
