David invited me to Hack Hall to capture some precious moments with his wife, Sarah, and her horse of a lifetime, Peru. Sarah has owned Peru 12 years and she is very much part of the family, but sadly due to injury she was having to make some difficult decisions. I was very touched when David contacted me to come and photograph the family with Peru and knew I had to capture everything they love about her, so they could treasure those moments for years to come.
They all made my job extremely easy, the bond between Sarah and Peru was beautiful to watch – they just gravitated towards one another throughout the shoot and there was nothing they loved more than a cuddle! We captured some photos out the front of the yard, picking out Autumnal leaves, wooden fences and brick walls to frame the images, before heading up the track for some family shots.
Sarah and David’s two daughters, Charlotte and Chloe joined us for some family portraits with Peru – both of which were amazing at taking direction and had the most beautiful, cheeky grins! I have never seen such little people with such big smiles! Then Sarah hopped on board for a handful of mounted photos with Peru walking back down the lane to round up the photo shoot.
I am sending all my love to the family and hope we managed to capture all those things you love so dearly about Peru.
